Capture Sound from Sound Card in Mac OS

                                                                                                  
1. Download and install SoundFlower.
2. Configure sound output to Soundflower in Sound configuration panel of System Properties.
3. Open your sound recording software, i.e. Audacity, and choose input device is Soundflower.
4. Start recording. During the recording you will not heard sound coming from your speaker, but the sound will be captured by the software since we re-drect the sound to Soundflower

Login MySQL from terminal in MacOS

Sometime you may encounter this problem while you are trying to log into your MySQL database from terminal:
"Can not query to other database"

Use the correct command to login:
$ mysql -uroot
or
$mysql -u root -p

My way to Install unrar and rar in Mac OS

1. Download the correct version of Winrar from www.rarlab.com, and run the downloaded file to extract the package.
2. Use OnyX change the parameters of the finder to show hidden files on your Mac.
3. Locate and copy binary files unrar and rar to your bin folder (Macintosh HD/bin).
4. Change the finder parameters back to hide the hidden files.
5. Suppose you have a folder named “EXAMPLE” want to compress.
6. Launch terminal and go into this folder “EXAMPLE” and type

rar a EXAMPLE
And a rar file named EXAMPLE.rar will be in the folder after finish.
7. You also can compress the file into specific size by using the -v parameter,
rar a -v[size] EXAMPLE
Here the size is in KB
8. Use the following command to uncompress a compressed file:
unrar e EXAMPLE.rar
